Training, qualifications & experience
I have completed a three-year British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)-accredited course of study leading to the award of Advanced Diploma in Integrative-Relational Counselling. I also hold an AEB Certificate in Counselling skills. I have twelve years experience in counselling, and have trained with, and worked for, the Samaritans and Cruse Bereavement Service. I have also specialised in bereavement counselling for adults with learning difficulties. My recent continuing professional development has focused on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and other relational issues, Mindfulness and Couple Counselling. I have also had experience in counselling those affected by major disasters including the Asian Tsunami and terrorist bombings.
