How does Therapy 121 work?

Getting Started


Talking to a mental health professional just got easier. Therapy 121 offers an online platform of Counsellors to get you the help you need quickly and confidentially. You can now access a counsellor from your smart phone, tablet or computer at a time and a place that suits you, no matter where you are in the world. Whether you are sitting in your car or in the comfort and privacy of your own home, office or safe place, we are here to hear you and help you find the answers. 

Q: How do I get started?

Setting up your session is easy. All you need is a free Skype, WhatsApp, Facetime or Google Hangouts account and a computer, tablet or smart phone that has a camera and audio set up.

Q: How do I get a Free Skype, WhatsApp, Factime or Google Hangouts Account?

On your Mac

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Browse or search for the app that you want to download. Developers of apps for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch don’t always have an app for Mac.
  3. Click the app.
  4. If the app is free, click Get, then click Install App

On your Android


  1. Tap the Apps icon on the home screen. It usually looks like a bundle of dots at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Swipe left and right until you find the Play Store icon. Tap it.
  3. Tap the magnifying glass in the top-right, type in the name of the app you’re looking for, and tap the magnifying glass on the keyboard to execute the search. Some suggestions will pop up below the search box as you type, which you can tap to reach directly. The search term can also be more general to find any apps that focus on a topic or keyword.
  4. Results will be presented for apps, movies, and books. To the right of the Apps subheading, tap the “___ more” button to see the full listing of results.
  5. Tapping the three dots on the right side of each entry will provide options to install right away or add the app to a wishlist for future reference.
  6. Tapping the box itself will provide more details for that app, including screenshots, video, a description, and reviews from users like you.

 Facetime:  If you have a Apple Mac, ipad or iphone, this will be already built in.

Q:  What do I do next?

1. Book An Appointment and choose what service you want and select the practitioner of your choice.

2. Book your appointment and complete the information requested on the appointment form. You will receive an email to confirm your appointment with the steps you need to take before your session. This email also provides the counsellors contact information.

3. To connect with your practitioner, you can simply add their Skype ID to your Skype or if you are using WhatsApp, Google Hangouts or Facetime, your practitioner will contact you prior to your session, using the phone number you have provided. We highly recommend that you connect with your practitioner in advance of your session if possible. This saves you valuable session time, as well as ensuring optimum service. This also confirms your session.


Q: Is Therapy 121 a free service?

Your intial consultation is free and lasts usually between 10 and 15 mins. This allows your practitoner to assess your needs and gives you an opportunity to decide if they are a good fit for you. Further sessions last 50 mins and are charged according to the individual practitioners rates & packages. You will find these rates on each individual practitioners profile page, select Our Team and check out their profiles.

Our Counsellors charge UK: £55.00 to £65.00  US: $70.00 to $90.00 per 50 min session.

Q: How do I pay? 

Payments are made via Paypal before each session. Your Practitioner will provide you payment details at the end of your first session. If you have any questions, please contact us.


Q: What if I have to cancel and I have already paid? 

If you have to cancel, we require 48 hours notice or payment will be forfeit. If you contact us 48 hours before, we will reschedule your appointment for a time that suits you.


Q: Why should I buy my sessions in blocks and not session by session?

In order to truly get the very best results out of therapy or coaching, you must commit. Committing to the work is the first step to fully owning there is an issue and that you really want to change it. In our experience, change can be accomplished in 6 weeks, but much deeper issues may need long-term therapy or coaching which can take time. See more info. Giving yourself a realistic time frame, will accomplish significant growth and results.
